A long time ago it took a decently powerful desktop computer to run a major RPG title like Knights of the Old Republic from the Star Wars universe. Fast forward a few years that computing power can now be found in devices that fit in the palm of your hand. To prove that point, Aspyr Media, Inc. has released the full Knights of the Old Republic game for Android devices.

For those who never played Knights of the Old Republic in the past, the story takes place 4,000 years before the events revealed in the Star Wars movies. Players find themselves trying to master the Force while deciding whether they will side with the Republic or fall to the dark side.

Just like the full game, over 40 different Force powers are available along with the opportunity to build your own lightsaber. The title includes a variety of locations including Tatooine and Kashyyk, nine different character types, and you even get a starship, the Ebon Hawk.

In a nod to the change in platforms, the user interface has been streamlined and enhanced for use on touch screen devices, although users can opt for HID controllers. The developers have also added achievements to the title.

As a full version of the Knights of the Old Republic title, the game is quite huge, weighing in at 2.4 GB, so you may want to connect to Wi-Fi and leave it to load overnight. KOTOR runs $4.99 and is available in the Google Play Store using the download links below.
