With so many private photos leaked out into the public realm, sometimes we have to wonder is anything safe nowadays? Hidely seems to have come up with a solution for those of us that are camera happy, but want to keep these pictures safe from being automatically synced to Facebook or any online cloud server accidentally. First developed for iOS, it has finally made its way to the Google Play Store.
When someone uses Hidely to snap photos, the photo automatically is ‘zero traced.” What that means is your photo is not sent somewhere into internet limboland, rather it is saved on your handset. In order to view the photo, a person must have a password to “unlock” the photo. The photo does not even show in your stock photo gallery though. If you forgot your password, there is no way to retrieve it. So make the password something you can remember, but harder for anyone to even guess. Want to send someone a pic? Sure, not a problem. The person would need to have that password as well.
The app is totally free and makes a great tool to use this Holiday season with all the parties we’d like to enjoy (a little too much) but then would like to forevermore forget. Have a go and enjoy having fun!
