Grand Theft Auto is possibly one of the most well-known video game franchises, and they’re bringing some good news to the Android community today. Their long-awaited title GTA: Chinatown Wars is finally available in the Google Play Store. After its original launch on a number of different mobile platforms, it’s finally make its way to Android a mere 5 years after launch. The game was immensely popular on when it first launched in 2009, and hopefully Android fans will continue its popularity.

If you’re unfamiliar with Chinatown Wars, you play as Huang Lee who is on a mission to return an ancient sword to his Uncle Kenny to ensure his family maintains control of the Triad gangs of Liberty City. Aside from the deep storyline, Chinatown Wars still offers tons of side missions, a variety of weapons and lots of violence, just like any other Grand Theft Auto game. Now remember, this game was made five years ago for the DS, so we’re still seeing the constant overhead view like in the old games.

GTA: Chinatown Wars is compatible with Android TV devices and with select Android Bluetooth and USB controllers. Rockstar Games is currently selling the game for $4.99 in the Google Play Store. This may sound a bit high for some users, but there are no in-app purchases, and it offers many hours of gameplay. If you’re a fan of the Grand Theft Auto series, you’re going to love this game.
