Factory image of Android 5.0.2 for the Nexus 7 2012 Wi-FiSeems just like yesterday that Android 5.0.1 was released to the airwaves, but now there’s already another sheriff in town. A factory image of Android 5.0.2 for the Nexus 7 2012 Wi-Fi (or nakasi, for those who like the codenames better) has gone live on the Google Developers website which makes up for the missing Android 5.0.1 image that we’ve been waiting for on this device. Bearing the build number LRX22G, what exactly this extra 0.0.1 means is anybody’s guess, but we’re assuming it will be related to minor security or bug fixes and also includes the Android 5.0.1 fixes Nexus 7 owners have been pining for.

If you want to find out for yourself what’s changed, you can pick up the new factory image at the Google Developers hosting page here, but just be sure that you know what you’re doing before you attempt installing this image – if you didn’t know that you needed the Android SDK installed to do this, you should probably do some research first. We’re expecting the OTA update to roll out sooner rather than later, but for those who can’t wait, flash away.

What do you think about the factory image of Android 5.0.2 for the Nexus 7 2012 Wi-Fi being made available? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
