Square Now Built for Android

Square is a popular device that allows users to turn their tablets or smartphones into powerful point of sales systems.  Since its inception, the Square system has been mostly iOS centric.  Recently, Square Register has finally been optimized for Android tablets. Since Android runs on 85% of mobile devices worldwide, it makes sense that the company would make headway with their product designed to replace the traditional cash register. Unlike older systems, Square Register allows businesses the ability to send digital receipts, see advanced analytics, and even track inventory.  With the kind of optimization introduced this week, the company could potentially expand their market into the heavily used Android space.  For businesses that run Android and don’t want to spend large amounts of capital on more traditional point of sales systems, the move to Square Register now seems like a no-brainer.
