Don’t miss: 10 of the hottest new apps this week (November 22)

Welcome back to the regular series aimed at helping Android users get more from their devices. YouTube (Music Key)

We say: While YouTube itself is not a new app, a pretty big update has been applied to the app on the server-side. That update is Music Key. Those that have a Google Play Music All Access subscription will find when they open the YouTube app that they can now listen to music and other videos ad-free, download videos to save for later when there is no internet connection, and listen to videos in the background while doing other things on your phone. This is huge, as YouTube has a very wide grasp around the world, so we may very well see the first largely successful music subscription service. The addition of having Google Play Music All Access definitely makes it worth it.

Unlimited Screen Recorder Free

We say: For those of you who need to record the screen on your phone on a regular basis, or at all for that matter, will find this app very useful. It allows you to record your screen, absolutely free. This is good for YouTube channels, developers, or showing your mom how to send a picture in Hangouts. Check it out with the widget below.

Facebook Groups

We say: It seems Facebook feels that having its normal app being downloaded over 1,000,000,000 times isn’t enough, as they recently separated their messaging app from the Facebook app, and now it seems they want to do the same with their Groups functionality. Because Facebook.

Z Launcher Beta

We say: Nokia is really throwing its weight behind the Z Launcher, as they released a tablet this week that has this launcher by default, and now they’ve released it on the Play Store for all to enjoy. What’s great about this launcher is it learns your habits and provides the ability to launch apps quickly based on the time of day. You can also launch apps with gestures and swiping.

Milk Video™

Play Store Description: “Milk Video™ lets you discover and share the most talked about videos, in a beautiful, streamlined experience.”

We say: If you ask me, Milk is the lamest name for media consumption services. Nevertheless, Samsung has released another service under this name, and this time it’s videos. This app will learn your video watching habits, so that you supposedly never have to search again, as it will provide you with the video you want as soon as you open the app. It will be interesting to see how well this does. Currently it’s only available for a handful of Samsung devices, and you can find that list here.

Kingdom Rush Origins

We say: If you like tower defense games, than this one is worth checking out. This is the third game in this series, but this one is a prequel. The other two games are fairly popular, and this one has 4.8 stars, so check it out. Be aware that this app costs $2.99.

Food Battle: The Game

Cupcake Mania: Thanksgiving

We say: Ever since Candy Crush came out, everyone has tried their hand at releasing a game that matches their formula of sweet treats and addicting gameplay. With Thanksgiving nearly upon us however, it might be fun to get into the spirit of things with this particular game. You wouldn’t want all those pies to be gone now would you?

Next Glass

We say: This is an app that claims to give you the best recommendation of your next alcohol drink, or tell you if a particular drink will fit your taste buds. Seems like an interesting app, so it’s worth giving it a shot. See what I did there? Alright, nothing to see here, move along.

Stick Hero

We say: This seems like a fairly simple and easy time-waster game where the goal is to get across a gap by extending your stick by tapping the screen. Now before I say something that will come across super embarrassing, I’m going to tell you to just download the app and try it yourself.
