Like so many retailers, Amazon is slowly expanding the start of the holiday shopping specials, historically starting on “Black Friday,” to span the entire week of Thanksgiving. Amazon has already been selling physical goods this week as part of a week long Black Friday Deals Week promotion. Now the Amazon digital stores are getting into the action with specials starting today to correspond with Verizon’s Connection Day.

As part of the specials posted today, Amazon is offering several tracks for free on Amazon Music. Likewise, several Android apps sold through the Amazon Appstore can be grabbed for the lofty price of zero dollars. Some of the titles include Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Cut the Rope, and Riptide GP2. Amazon Prime members can access some playlists via the Prime Music streaming service including Road Tripping with the Kids, Christmas Classics, Turn It up in Your Truck, and Driving Beats: Electronic Road Trip. Amazon points out that if you are not a Prime member, you can always start a free 30-day trial to access the playlists. If you have ever considered the Audible audiobook service, Amazon in conjunction with Verizon is offering two free months of Audible.

This is only a taste of things to come though. Amazon is preparing to offer an app bundle tomorrow that includes $115 worth of Android games and apps for free. Amazon is also going to offer several titles with some major discounts, like several ZeptoLab games for 50% off and some Disney titles at a 65% discount.

If you are interested in any of these deals, hit the source link today and be sure to check back tomorrow and Friday as well.
