Oppo was the first one to release the Google certified CyanogenMod phone, the Oppo N1. A few months ago, Oppo also released the N1 Mini and R3 as well. Now Oppo is back again with an announcement of their flagship smartphones, the Oppo N3 and Oppo R5.

4Oppo N3 is overall a great smartphone. Just like its predecessor N1, the N3 also features a swivel camera but with huge changes. It features a Schneider Kreuznach-certified lens 16MP camera with auto-rotating, allowing the camera to track objects as they move. The camera moves automatically while taking a panorama shot. Apart from the camera, the phone comes with Android 4.4 with Oppo’s custom ColorOS 2.0, a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801, 5.5″ display with a 1080p resolution and 400ppi, 2GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, and 3,000mAh Li-Po battery. The cool thing about its battery is that in just 30 minutes, it can be recharged from 0 to 75%.

The device will be available for $649 off-contract, and it will hit 20 countries by the end of 2014.

oppo-r5The Oppo R5 is a great looking device, and it is also the ‘thinnest smartphone in the world’ – with a thickness of just 4.85mm. But it’s not just an ordinary slim phone, it also features a 64-bit CPU and a lot more under the hood. It features 1.5 GHz Qualcomm’s 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 CPU, 5.2-inch full-HD display, 13 MP camera with a Sony imaging sensor and a 5 MP front facing camera, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, LTE connectivity, and 2,000 mAh battery with turbo charging as well. It also features Oppo’s Color OS 2.0 with Android 4.4 as well. However, if you want to get your hands on the thinnest smartphone in market, you might have to give up on few things, like the 3.5mm audio jack or a microSD card slot, but it comes with O-Music wireless accessory, which will allow you to stream music, or you can also use microUSB to audio jack adapter. The smartphone will be available for $499 without any contract, although we don’t know about the exact launch date, but we might see it later this year or earlier next year as well.
