Share

HTC recently announced that HTC One will receive the Android 4.4 update within 90 days, or in other words, next year in January. Now our friends over at SlashGear are reporting that HTC have confirmed their plans about updating the HTC One, HTC One Max, and HTC One Mini to Android 4.4 KitKat. Users in United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa – will receive it by the end of January, and on the other hand, HTC One Google Play Edition will be updated to the latest version near the middle of November.

“Across EMEA, HTC will work with local carriers to begin the roll-out of Android 4.4 with Sense 5.5 for the HTC One from end of January. The Google Play edition will start to receive the update earlier, starting from the end of November. Details regarding the HTC One Max and the HTC One Mini will follow.” – HTC PR

HTC’s further clarification shows that the Taiwanese giant is working on it wholeheartedly, and all they want from their fans and customers is a little patience. Although, we are still waiting to hear from HTC on whether they are planning to upgrade their other Android phones, like the HTC Butterfly to Android 4.4. We really hope to hear from them soon.
