Smart Phones – are they replacing laptops?

According to the recent surveys, the smart phones are on their way to replace the laptops. Besides, the cheap international shipping data of various courier companies also reveal the same. These days, the smart phones are getting huge popularities because of the faster processors, cheaper parts and the capability hold more information and data. All of these features together are helping the smart phones to spread among the generation Y. The tablets are already working as the medium between these two devices. What now the young people mainly look for is any portable device that can perform the basic functions on a faster note. In fact, the end users care just a little about the platforms which actually run the applications. They only care about the functionality of the devices.

At present, the Android, blackberry and the iPhones vie for the smart phone supremacy. The first and foremost advantage of the smart phones over the laptop is the weight and the size. The modern Smartphone screens are big enough for the users to check what is going on the screen as well as these are light enough to carry around. Due to these advanced features, the laptops and the desktops are gathering dust for the past few years except for the gamer people who mostly prefer the laptops in order to get the tremendous power for graphics or for those people who mainly use their computers like televisions and watch movies or TV programs on the large screen.

But in general, the smart phones are the logical competition for the tablet computers. These devices are now reproducing like as the locusts in the summer. The screens of these devices are now big enough to access various types of applications, to watch videos and movies or to have a quick flick on the dials of the hotels, restaurants, boutiques etc.
Besides, the great thing about these Smartphones is the terrific apps shared by the Smartphone users of all brands. Most of these apps are available at free of costs or at a minimum price. With the help of these apps, the users can now perform a number of tasks right on their mobile devices like editing the pictures, getting day to day news, downloading music, transcribe notes or lectures digitally from the classrooms or from the meetings, construct polished presentations, create spreadsheets with just numbers. As a whole, whatever you want to do in your personal life and in your professional life, you can do all of them on your mobile devices with the help of these Smartphone apps. A recent data obtained from courierpoint.com describes that, presently Smartphones is sent as the parcel to Canada from UK from one person to another as gifts instead of the laptops.

Studies also show that a good percentage of the laptop owners now report using these devices not at all or less often. The only reason behind this tremendous market penetration is the emergence of the Smartphones that show the ubiquitous drive to the mobility.

Summary: Since the emergence, the Smartphones are slowly capturing the market of the laptops because of the flexibility as well as due to the fast performance. But are they replacing the laptops? Let’s find out.
