iOS 7 has brought with it some dramatic changes to several native apps and the Camera app is no exception. Outside of being able to take still photos, panoramas, and record video just like you could before, you’ve got some additional options to choose from now. The way you switch between modes has also been changed up a bit.

That’s all there is to it. You can choose from a standard photo, a square photo, video mode, and pano mode. Square photos are great if you plan on uploading the photo to Instagram since you can be positive you’re getting everything in the frame you need to leaving no need to crop things out later.

We aren’t quite sure why Apple moved this out of the actual Camera app in iOS 7 but if you want grid lines, you’ll have to pop into Settings in order to enable it now.

Filters can be applied to regular photos and square photos but not panos or videos.
