[Update] [Download] The Official Blackberry Messenger App For Android

Well, I know this maybe a bit of a hard thing to do, but we got our hands on the hyped Blackberry Messenger app for Android. This app is supposed to be coming to the Play Store sometime today, but as of right now there is nothing. Luckily, thanks to a few of our sources, we managed to get the APK ahead of time and we want to share it with you now. I know, it maybe a bit awkward using a dying company’s messaging service, but hey at least give it a shot and you just might like it. I know quite a few people who only have Blackberry devices because of BBM. Now with the app officially launching on Android today, this may either help or finish off the company and turn it into a messaging service only.

There are somethings I do like about it. For one, the ability to “ping” someone is something I’ve always wanted on Hangouts, it makes people answer me haha. I also like the fact that notifications pop up instantly, but that does require the app to always be running in the background which may deter some of you, but as for me my Note 2′s 3100 mAh battery can handle it. So, if you still want to try out the new BBM app for Android I have included a few download links below. Let us know what you think of Blackberry’s new BBM app on Android in the comments below.

Update – Blackberry issued a release about this particular apk leak. Apparently they had a HUGE response to it and will be disabling it. In response to their statement we have pulled the links so more people aren’t hindered by it not working. Their statement can be found HERE.

Update #2 9/13/13 – Seems another update has been published from Blackberry today. The leaked APK that flooded the web generated a lot more traffic than expected and it was also one that was known to have an issues. This whole dilemma is forcing them to push things back for the release so they can completely disable the old APK. We are sure it will resurface in due time and we will be sure to keep you all updated.
