The day is finally here, and everyone who has played with a Moto X Phone has uploaded their videos, and published their articles. While the phone has some impressive features, it does fall short in a lot of people’s eyes.

Motorola mentions that it is not all about specs, but how you use your phone. This is to blame for the mid-ranged specs we have been hearing about, but we do know that the phone will be running the Motorola’s X* Mobile Computing System. This is basically the equivalent to a Snapdragon S4 Pro dual-core processor clocked at 1.7 GHZ. Lot of people are not happy with the specs, but as far as I can tell, the phone looks to run very smooth and snappy.

Other specs include 2GB of RAM, a 4.7-inch AMOLED display with a 1280 x 720-pixel resolution, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, a 10-megapixel Clear Pixel rear-facing camera with larger pixels for better low-light performance, and a 2,200mAh battery that is supposed to last even heavy users a days with of power. It is running Android 4.2.2 which is a let down since Android 4.3 was just announced. You would think you would want your newest phones to have the latest Android OS, but you got to remember it is not a Nexus or Google Play device.

In many of the videos I have seen already, the customizations to the shell of the phone is where this phone stands out. Everyone I’ve seen play with the phone raves about how good it feels in the hand, and that the build quality is pretty excellent. It is pretty much where Motorola is going with this phone. Making your phone personal to you, and really shooting for quality.

Pricing stands at $200 for the 16 GB version, and $250 for the 32 GB version. This stands at about $100 cheaper than the Nexus 4, which will new customer’s eyes. There has been a lot of wonder on why they are calling the Moto X Phone an “exclusive” for AT&T, which usually means it is exclusively on that carrier and not other carriers. To clear that up, it will be on all 4 major carriers, but as of right now, you can only customize the phone on AT&T. Does not make much sense to me, but power to them.

Release dates have not been made official, but we are coming to the conclusion that the phone will be out sometime in September. They also have mentioned that there will be a Google Play Edition out later this year, but you got to wonder if that is even needed.

So it is finally here my friends, and we would like to know what you guys think about the phone.
