As you’ve likely heard by now, Facebook today announced that the Facebook Home app suite and experience will be available for other Android devices. Starting on April 12 and moving forward, Facebook Home will be a downloadable app/launcher for the Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2, HTC One X+, and future devices.
Speaking at the unveiling today, Facebook indicated that the Facebook Home experience is designed to run on Android 4.0 or later. As of today, that’s roughly 54% of all devices. To be clear, this does not mean that all Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean phones will get official support. In essence, this is just the cut off point for which we can better understand which phones could see Facebook Home.
