OverDrive app lets NOOK owners borrow eBooks and MP3 audiobooks

Thinking about picking up one of those new NOOK HD devices for yourself? Or maybe you’ve got a student in the house who might appreciate an older model like the Nook Color. Regardless of whether you’ve got an old model or a brand new one, you can now get your hands on some new content. The OverDrive app has arrived for the Nook series of devices which lets users browse, checkout, and download eBooks and MP3 audiobooks from the library.

All you have to do is download the OverDrive media Console app on your NOOK and create an account.  From there you can locate a nearby library or school, browse or search their eBook collection and, check out the title for 1-3 weeks.  Note that you’ll need a valid library card or school ID,  and your title will simply expire once the time period ends. For more information, you can go to www.NOOK.com/publiclibrary or www.overdriveblogs.com.
