HTC promises Jelly Bean update for One S, One X starting in October

There’s a small bit of detail tucked in the very end of HTC’s latest press release (HTC One X+ announced for October) which has implications for a pair of its other 2012 handsets.  As you likely surmised from the headline, it revolves around the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the HTC One X and One S.  According to the handset maker, both will see the update starting in October.

The Android Jelly Bean with HTC™ Sense 4+ update is scheduled to begin rolling out for the HTC One™ S and HTC One™ X from October.

While this does not factor in U.S. models and carriers it is still good news nonetheless.  We figure we’ll get a Facebook update or carrier press release here and there so keep your eyes peeled.
