October arrival
Google Nexus 7 3G version imminent

The Google Nexus 7 could be about to get even more awesome after reports suggestin a 3G version of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean tablet is being prepped.?

According to MoDaCo: “Asus?is currently ramping production in preparation for launch in around 6 weeks.”?

The introduction of a 3G version would mean consumers wouldn’t have to rely on a Wi-Fi connection to browse the internet, access emails or visit their social networks. Downloads would also continue even when out of a Wi-Fi hotspot, so long as you still have a 3G connection, of course.

There’s no word on what the inclusion of 3G would mean in terms of hiking up the price of the Nexus 7 – a tablet manufacturer by Asus – but it’s sure to find an audience with customers who want to stay connected on the go.

The Nexus 7 is already available in both 8GB and 16GB variants for ?159 and ?199 respectively.
