Amazon may have just teased a host of American Football fans with two new devices after the company aired a new commercial during the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys game.
The one-minute long advert appears to give a glimpse at what seems to be a backlit E Ink Kindle reader and a larger tablet device. Amazon is hosting a press event in Los Angeles later today where speculation is mounting we could be seeing the debut of the Kindle Fire 2 as well as a backlit “paperwhite” eReader.
Though the appearance of the two devices during the commercial are fleeting, they don’t appear to be anything we’ve already seen before and fits with the idea that Amazon will be unveiling both a 7 and 10-inch tablet device.
There’s also speculation that Amazon will use its event to reveal a prototype of a new smartphone that runs a forked version of the Android operating system.
