IFA 2012: 10.1 inch display
According to Samsung, the Samsung Ativ Tab will provide a “Windows 8 PC experience on a tablet”. The device, unveiled by the Korean manufacturer at its IFA event in Berlin, is part of the Ativ Windows 8 range.?
Featuring a 10.1-inch display and weighing 570g, the Samsung Ativ Tab gives a more traditional tablet from factor in comparison to the Samsung Ativ Smart PC and PC Pro,?both of which come with a detachable keyboard.
The Samsung Ativ Tab sports a svelte 8.9mmm waistline and comes preloaded with both Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 RT preview.
Compatible with other Windows 8 devices such as keyboards and projectors, the Samsung Ativ Tab offers a Microsoft alternative to Samsung’s Android running Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Windows 8 is due to be made available to the general public on 26 October. So far Samsung is yet to reveal pricing or availability details for the Samsung Ativ Tab but expect it to fall around this date.
