Hello guys. I am testing 5.1.172 that has been uploaded here for about one month and after 15 days of everything working fine,now i have the same problems that 5.1.80 cracked had( that means losing the position and indicating i am in a different road, therefore practically doesn't working).
The funny thing is that in first 15 days everything worked fine? What the f..k?
Also, 2 friends of mine who have tried it too,found the same problems!!!
I am probably going to buy it.
Anyone else who tried it for a long time had similar problems?
This hasn't happened to me yet but then again I haven't used it much.
Can anybody else confirm the above ? :confused:

I deleted this amp and re-installed the old one 3119G
and from that time until now there is no problem..

of course I do not now anything about programming or cracking or what is wrong

If you travel to Italy and EU it is certain that you DO NOT NEED to buy PN. All Navtec maps included in PN work with no problem and without requiring a #$#$%@ destcore.dll

As i have posted before i have the same problem(loosing periodically the correct position) o two S100 with BT gps and 3 MIO 168.
I have loaded the previous version of the map and unfortunatelly the problem remains the same. From other forum discussions about this subjects conclude that the problem is the DESTCORE.DLL. the cracked version is not reliable at all....

That's 100% true.
And everything others say about working right...they are just lucky.After a while the problem will occur to them too...

For 20 days everything worked fine for me too and i was using the program too much.
It seems that the behavior of the cracked .dll is unpredictable, so don't be sure it will work this way for ever ;)

give you instructions here.
1. You install destinator 3 in the device
2. You install Greek.cab
3. You install main.cab
4. You replace files of folders visual-all and visual-greek
\DestinatorApps\Destinator\Common\Interface\Visual \Greek - All
In folder All you copy the DestinatorMSG.Inf & KB.INF
In folder \windows\ you copy the help.html
5. You move all the files from main memory to storage card.
6. You copy the destcore.dll in windows folder AND in the programs' folder.
Sd card\destinator\destinatorapps
7. You copy the maps in Destinator's folder.
Destinator must work now.

I have the following problem..
I just upgrade my hx4700 from 2003se to WM5 and the only version that works fine is 5.1.172 (i have some problems with other versions, i guess that this new version is for WM5)
Now the problem is that i have an old Greek map that working fine too but it's old :(
When i try to switch to this map "Ver. 2005.Q4.3732" i get this message: "The chosen map is not registered. Whould you like to register the map?"
What do i have to do to make it play ? do i need some crack for ver 5.1.172 ?

As for your problem, just buy a Sirf Star III gps and you will be fine:)

ok, the .172 with the latest maps is not working for me either. i just want to add that the problems started showing immediately after setup. the .65 version with the Q1-2005 maps worked perfectly for the short time i tried it. i will downgrade and post the results...

For the position and other problems( 99% ) are solved after buying the original( juste see the ngi forum).
For your problem maybe it is something else.Maybe your car's glass or the gps as i have said(another person with original and same problems with you bought a sirf star III and is ok).Ask Ngi and they will help you.

only one version contained an english version map - 2004.Q2.2523,
that map does not include Irakleio crete:-# ...

I think, in the Q1.2005 version there is Crete too, both in Latin and Greek characters. This map though, has several mistakes and the coverage is not so good.
If you can read Greek, you should definitely try the December 2005 map for Destinator PN.......just the best one around today, with smaller cities and all details !!

You should find Q4.2005 version of map, which has the Crete and Irakleio too (the streets with numbers , except for right signs in some cases ,but will be ok to navigate in the island) which can be used only with Destinator PN(not with Destinator 3, it isn't compatible).:)

I had the opposite symptoms with Destinator PN 5.1.172: It started badly but works fine now.
I downloaded Miltos666's package, I installed it on an ACER N50 Premium on main memory and used it in combination with an EMTAC BlueTooth GPS (with SIRF III chip). The first day I used it while walking and I kept losing correct position. The next day I enabled SIRF protocol on my GPS, changed the appropriate setting in Destinator PN from NMEA to SIRF. In addition I chose 38400 for GPS Baud rate in PN GPS settings. I used Dest in my car which has athermical front glass, so I placed the GPS receiver at the back in order to have optimum reception. I noticed that when I have reception from 8-9 satellites, the program works fine. When I see 7-8 satellites the program tends to show my car about 10-15 meters in front of my actual position. The biggest problems were when I used Dest PN while walking: When I was under tall buildings signal was bad and the program got crazy, showing me elsewhere. Fortunatelly, while driving I don't have any problem, yet.

go and download the file that miltos has uploaded ,it contains all u need (maps,crack,etc...)

The "nearby road" bug is still present... The program seems to work fine in the first days of installation but then this annoying problem appears!!!
I'm happy that people are still getting my packaged version although some files are outdated now and there can be a different install method as well... Some steps are not needed if you think about it!

are u sure miltos? i a am using your files and and have no problems since i put 5.1.172 version i had 5.1.80,in new version 5.1.172 gps is located vry quick!

I have the same problem(losing the signal) with the cracked destcore.dll and the new map of greece. After some research I found that the locked file in the map archive is the WCE_A.map. So maybe is better (for those that know how to do it) to unlock the map file, to be possible to load the map from destinator with original destcore and avoid the problems of the cracked dll.

Yes i believe the same thing. The map should be unlocked if someone knows how and crack itself. There is the problem surely( i have done some research too and i ended up in the same conclusion).

This is my first post and I will try to be useful for everybody!
After reading all of this thread and following many trial & error procedures, I gathered all the needed files together for Destinator PN 5.1.172 and made a .zip file that also contains a simple 10 step guide to install this on your PDA.
I haven't altered any files, I have tried the installation on a MIO 168 and it works 100%, no activation... I will also try this on a MIO 201 tomorrow.
This file contains the greek Destinator PN 5.1.172 with the latest cracked .dll and the latest Greek only maps from NGI. Also included are the higher quality Greek voice messages taken from Destinator3.
I would like to thank all the people that originaly uploaded the files.

I am currently have Destinator PN for Australia (version 5.1.80 + Destcore.dll) - it seems to work OK at present (I only have it for one week).
Please advice the following:
1. How can I upgrade to your updated version 5.1.172 so that I can get Auto Alerts to work?
2. Can I just copy your updated destcore.dll into my current application folder on my PPC or do I need to install a complete Greek package?
3. Will this change everything to Greek language (I definitely want to use in English)?
4. Is there another way to download your released file above - as I can not seen to be able to download from your link?

i think that the problem is that the program beleives that we are about 20m north....
so when you are going north you are always earlier (eg there is a voice signal to turn 20m after the turn) when you are going west it shows that you are on a parallel road 20m towards the north... etc...
this is only after a couple of tests.. i am not sure... can anybody confirm ?
if this is the case, perhaps we could find where the gps offset is stored in order to re-calibrate the map... (not sure if it is possible)
i believe that mapas is right,we all know that the problem is the same th 20m distance failure!!

The way to fix it, is to pair with your BT GPS BEFORE you start PN. From you BT manager !
i have no bt,my gps is embended with the pda !

But I have done that and I have created the serial port needed...
There is no way to connect the phone with the bt. This happens automatically when destinator tries to access the virtual serial port...

Double click your BT GPS when it appears as an SPP slave and it connect to your PDA. You'll see a message saying connecting...
anyone found a decent solution for VGA screens with .172 version?
On my Universal (VGA screen) the .172 version is running well and without problems.

I am using the version Miltos uploaded and sometimes the program shows my position some meters away that i am.
The thing i do is to close the program and restart it. Then it shows the correcrt possition.
Till now it works fine.
Offcource this is a temporary solution until we find a better crack for destinator.

I do this too. It works for me, too. I also give the gps receiver some time to find strong signal before starting destinator. I have also downgraded to *.80 from *.172 since it seemed to me I had less problems. (ACER N50 Premium, EMTAC BTGPS).

i'm a week new to all this GPS. I installed Miltos zip file for Destinator PN, it opened but could not see find any maps. Although i'm not in Greece.
Am looking for the Australia Map. I downloaded the Q2 2005 map but it doesn't seem to be able to find it. What directory in the SD card should the maps be on? in root? Currently it is in root of SD as Australia.
Maybe the map is for Destinator 3 ?? not sure.

hmmm dnloaded & install it but dest 6 wont recognize any maps. Not even those that came with it. every time i load dest 6 it goes to the choose map console and says Your first DCA Version: and nothing happens.

Old destcore.dll is NOT working with the new version.
So we need a new by scratch cracked dll.
Fagana just install the program from the console and it will ask you where to you want to place it, memory or storage card?. Select the second and proceed!!!

It seems there is a problem with some letters that are common in greek and english.A B H I K M N O letters have problem. Possibly the greek keyboard that is presented actually types these letters in latin instead of greek.

The keyboard.ini file in Language/Greek needs a bit of editing. The latin letters (e.g. A,B,E etc) need to be remapped in Greek. If somebody already did it, please post..

Second, im not renaming anything... People post this dll's on some russian forum, so i rar-ed it and posted at my rapidshare place. For people to be more useful like this.

Thanks to Johner, STiCKpIN and Katerini I now have Dest 6 working perfectly using NGI Greek maps (using the appropriate files)
Small review
The interface is much better than the PN version, more clear and easy to use with one finger, no need for stylus. (I have to say though i miss the home button)
The loading time is faster than the PN version and till now it doesn't seem to cause any problem (crashes or similar)
The recalculation of a route is faster than PN (approx. 5-10 sec depending on how close you are to the original route, more close more time to recalculate).
The 3D environment is awesome.
I hope the European maps are also good and leave one Navigation software in my PPC (and gain some storage MBs). For the rest of Europe now I use TomTom.

You can use them both on the same ppc but you have to rename the folder of destinator PN, because they use the same folder for installation (\DestinatorApps\Destinator). After that you fix the shortcuts and :roll:
for a start destinator 6 its defenitly quicker in startup and in finding satellites.i am using the pm latest maps which have more details 2005.q4.3732.is that destinator 6 the latest version or beta?

Has anyone noticed that in Destinator 6 the "arrow" showing the vehicle position is always 2 seconds behind the real position of the car?
I have tried it with 2 different pda's and there is the same problem.

Is there any way to get the default keyboard to be anything other then English? Even though the entry defportraitlayout is set to 5 (the special keyboard), the one that appears by default is the portrait text (value=0)

for some that didn't get how on to flash cards:
Destinator Install:
1. Run Console, chose the map that you want to install. Click on CUT map button. Wait for map to load - you will see Cutter screen appear.
2. Cut the map according to your preferences and close the screen, or if complete map is needed - just close Cutter screen.
3. In your PC go to C:/DestinatorApps/New Maps - you will see your map there in a separate folder. Copy that folder.
4. Sync your PDA with PC. In the root directory of your PDAs Storage Card create a folder DestinatorApps and paste map folder into it.
Now you should be able to run the Destinator with the map you just installed.
flashcard install:
1 Download your map, unzip it to a map (with same name)
2 Put WCE.txt also in the same map
3 create a folder in your SD-card: SDcard/DestinatorApps/yourdownloadedmap
4 put the unzipped map in that map on your SDcard
for example; i download benelux.rar -> unzipped to: c:\files\DestinatorApps\benelux -> copy WCE.txt also in it -> Copy DestinatorApps\benelux to SCcard\DestinatorApps\benelux -> DONE!

Ive got destinator 6 installed but the included map of greece kind of sucks, wondering if the its the NAVTEQ map instead of NGI. I tried to install the 2005 Q4 greece map available on here but its asking to register. Has anyone go it allow the other greece map (which i assume is more detailed) to work with DN6? Also anyone know where i can get the USA/Canada maps?

some answers regarding destinator 6 . there is newer map (2006)but its a cut of the major europe map. its worse than the 2005Q4.3711. missing the islends name (greece.)
works find with mio128 en and gr, so no problems. the base of every ones problems is only wrong installation. you must copy the destcore.dll as well to destinator app. if you fail to find it just create it.
search the forums for the full version. ill look for you for the rest.

ok with the maps. I was looking for cities Chania and Iraklio. The problem now is that everyting in the program is in english. In storage card exist a folder named DestinatorGreek but nothing. The program works ok exept language and voice. In settings is only English UK.Any suggestions?

I guess nobody had Destinator 6 as a .cab file i asked for earlyer, but then, anybody know how to install Destinator 6 on the PPC without a PC (Active Sync)
My Mio 350 WM5 want sync with my PC, so i need another way to install the program, thats why i asked for the .cab file.
Any other way i could do it ? Anybody know if the original CD/DVD have .cab files ?

No possibility Mugge. Sorry. Destinator repuires a consolle installed on your PC for programs, language and maps installation.
I have version PN and 6 of Destinator, and with both the PC is strctly repuired.
But Destinator can be installed even if the PPC is configured as "Guest", so no sinchronization is required, only Usb and AS connection.

Find someone with the app and maps you want in SD card and copy it from there directly. I can do it for you if you want. PM me for details

I've managed to set DESTINATOR 6 to use VGA resolution.
Rename txt extension with zip.
You have to copy the files from the attachement as follows :
Destinator.exe.0409.MUI - in \SD\DestinatorApps\Destinator
Destinator.inf - in \SD\DestinatorApps\Destinator\Skin\All
Is working only for PORTRAIT.
For LANDSCAPE, i have to make some more changes.

The only navigation system that can be possible to install without PC is IGo (for that I know).
All the other navigation systems that I use (TomTom, Navigon, Destinator Route66) need to be installed by PC and AS connection.
Maybe only the maps can be trasferred without AS, but the program installetion strictly requires PC connection by AS.
For IGo this rule is no more valid. It can be installed and used by SD card, without AS connection.
You can install Destinator 6 WITHOUT activesync connection and WITHOUT PC!

There is a newer Greek Map floating around in the Destinator 6 downloads available. Don't know if it will work ,I have both but still use the GreekU map because the labels are in the Greek Alphabet and with it being 25 MB (as opposed to the newer Map being 7.5MB) I believe the GreekU map is more detailed (this may be correct or not.
I was also having problems with Destinator PN and the GreekU map (losing my position etc.) but I switched to Destinator 6 and its better, you may also try looking at the iG0 2006 thread as there are new group maps for this application and its works well.

guys where i can find the new greek maps for the destinator pn? in ngi website i found only the old ones !

I will repeat Myself the latest Map for Greece is Version 2006.Q1.4168 which is found in the STiCKpIN version of Destinator 6 it is not Unicode and its a Navteq Map.
You should also know that the latest detailed Greek map come from NGI and it is the 2005.Q4.3732. The Navteq map is useless.
Can I use greek setup in Dest6, I mean greek language in menu?
How can i use Destinator 6 with ipaq 6515 (square monitor)?

Hi there, I have a X51V Axim and recently bought Destinator PN from ebay. I downloaded the Greek map of ngi (GreeceE) and installed it in the PDA but when I try to use them I am asked to activate it in order to proceed. Apparently I
have no activation key so I can not use the maps.
Do you know how I can solve the problem?

does the cracked destcore.dll for Dest 6 has the same problem as Destinator PN, ie. loosing position? Could the guys who tried it please advise

The one I have tested is the whole pack named "Destinator Pn 5.1.80 Dvdv All the World Part*", yet it is kind of big (about 4GB). It works fine, I have tested it also in Italy, and it has all the latest information you need. After you download the file, the only thing you need to do is to unzip the zip file of italy and copy paste it in the directory of the maps folder of destinator...

All maps should be placed in a folder called DestinatorApps on the SD card.

i ve tried that out already (7 files-161 MB (169.742.384 byte))...When i change maps the message "map file corrupt" appears....I don't know if i am doing s/ing wrong...:-$
