Samsung isn’t really well-known for keeping secrets, especially on the day that new products are being announced. We’ve all heard of a new line-up of Samsung tablets being announced soon, but it was just a matter of time before they were outed.
Though they still haven’t been officially announced, thanks to some popular sources we get to know about the tablets a few hours before they’re official. All of these tablets will be announced at the Samsung event later today at CES 2014 in Las Vegas.
This time around, the internals of the tablets are getting the upgrade, and the hardware is pretty much the same as the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014).
First up is the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. It features a 12.2-inch 2,560×1,600 screen, and the 8MP rear-facing camera, and a 2MP front-facing camera can be found on all of the new tablets. It has a 9,500 mAh battery, and 32 or 64 GB on on-board storage. The Wi-Fi/3G version has a Exynos 5 Octa processor, and the LTE variant has a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.
Next is the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2. This is completely identical to the Note Pro 12.2, except there is no S Pen with this one. Along with the S Pen comes the added software for note-taking and multi-tasking. It will most likely be around a $50 price-jump to get the Note Pro, so if you need those added features, be ready to pay a little extra.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a 10.1-inch screen, and the same resolution as the others. It has 2GB of RAM, 8,220 mAh battery, and 16 or 32 GB of on-board storage. Also, in case you didn’t make the connection, no S Pen with this one, either.
The Galaxy Tab 8.4 has an 8.4-inch screen, and -get this- a 2,560×1,600 screen. This one has a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, and 2GB of RAM.
This is one of the products that Samsung does very well, so it’s definitely nice to see a new wave of tablets come out of the event today.
