Field Trip app updated with new layout and content

Share

Field Trip, a location-based information guide, updated recently with some great new changes.

Designed by Google’s Niantic Labs, Field Trip aims to deliver underground information to users based on their location. The app is long due for a UI update, and it’s finally here.

The new layout sports a unified bar at the bottom, making navigating through the app a bit easier. It is much more unified and simplistic than before. To us, the app is very well-made and deserves some recognition, especially if you haven’t checked it out yet. Other than the updated interface, here are some more changes in the recent update:

  • Publisher Preview – allows users to preview content and learn about the unique content each publisher offers
  • Refreshed layout – brings Recent, Nearby, Favorites and Map tabs to the bottom bar
  • Drawers – the introduction of left/right swiping makes key settings easy to navigate, access, and set
  • Map View Updates – Map view will produce multiple cards when users zoom out to scan a larger area
