After what seemed like the longest period of speculation ever seen for a smartphone, the Nexus 5 has finally been released to the masses. With it, it brings the usual combination of power and value, though we’ve been seeing this trend for some time now with these Google phones. The Nexus 5 is of course the 5th iteration of the Google branded phones and to celebrate the evolution of Google Nexus, from the humble G1 to the Nexus 5, Gadget Love has created a GIF that sums up the changes in the phone in just a few seconds. Pretty cool stuff.
It’s amazing to see how far the Nexus line has come, but particularly amazing that Google is able to continue working with manufacturers to create very affordable phones with specifications that challenge the newest devices on the market. We can’t wait to see what Google has in store for next year, though we hope the Nexus 6 won’t end up being a 6-inch phone…
