The first iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c teardowns are underway over in Australia. The guys over at iExperts have managed to get their hands on both models and torn them down side by side.
At first glance, the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s appear to come apart in much of the same manner as the current generation iPhone 5. Aside from a new cable that attaches the Touch ID sensor to the dock assembly, the screen portion comes off in a matter of seconds in order to reveal the inside.
From there, much of the inside looks the same. One interesting note so far is that the words Apple Japan appear to be printed on all the batteries which is a new addition. The ratings for each battery according to iExperts are as follows:
- iPhone 5 – 5.45Whr
- iPhone 5S – 5.92Whr
- iPhone 5C – 5.73Whr
No word yet on chipsets and whether there are any confirmed shifts in manufacturing just yet. We’ll update as we know more in regards to the internal workings of all three. For now you can click through to iExperts to see more photos of the inside of all three models side by side.
