LG Lucid to join Verizon’s prepaid line-up as Optimus Exceed

Share

The LG Lucid line at Verizon recently expanded with the arrival of the Lucid 2, but that doesn’t mean that LG and Verizon are stopping there. According to 9to5Google, the first Lucid is due to make the jump to Verizon’s prepaid unit, and in the process the name will be changed to “LG Optimus Exceed.”

The device looks quite similar to the one from the original Lucid’s debut last year, but with an updated widget and new set of app icons. As far as price is concerned, rumors say the LG Optimus Exceed (model number VS840PP) will be available sometime soon and with a price that is around $100 or less. While that may sound a bit on the pricey side (since you can pick up a Lucid 2 for free,) keep in mind that the Lucid 2 is free as long as you have a two-year agreement, while the Optimus Exceed will be contract free.
