Lookout intros two new features to help fight lost and stolen phones

Share

lookout_appLookout Mobile Security today announced a pair of new features for the Android application. Designed to help combat lost and stolen phones, one comes in the free version while the other is in the Android Premium client.

  • New Lock Cam feature notifies you if anyone tries to access your device, whether it has been stolen, or if it is just someone else trying to peek. Lock Cam silently takes a picture with the front-facing camera of your device of anyone who enters an incorrect password three times into your lock screen. You’ll then receive an email with the picture, and the location of your device. Available for Lookout for Android – FREE.
  • Also, now you can add a customized message up to 300 characters to your Lookout Lock Screen, so if your phone is lost, you can help the (hopefully) good Samaritan who finds it,  return it. Available for Lookout for Android Premium ($2.99 month / $29.99 year).

Have you downloaded and installed 50 apps you must install before the world ends!
